Seven fire crews and an emergency rescue boat were called to a Norfolk village after a bull got stuck in a dyke.

Emergency services were called to New Cut Bank Road in Haddiscoe at 8.40am on Tuesday following reports of the animal in difficulty.

Two appliances from Norwich and Great Yarmouth with a rescue boat were sent to the scene, alongside five crews from Suffolk which were then stood down before arrival.

Crews arrived at the incident which took place near a cattle field on the edge of Haddiscoe Cut, a waterway near the River Waveney.

More than two hours later, the incident was brought under control and a stop message was recorded at around 11am.
