A brave mum has shared intimate details of her journey recovering from postnatal depression in a bid to help the mother and baby unit that supported her.
Chloe Gosling hopes to collect £1,000 for Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust's Kingfisher Unit by running in the Ely Tri Club Runfest on October 13.
Ms Gosling said: “In 2021, after having my daughter Aria-Rose, I became significantly unwell with postnatal depression.
“The support I received from Kingfisher was life changing, and this fundraiser is my way of giving back to a place that gave me back my life.”
Kingfisher Unit, based in Norwich, offered the mum inpatient treatment allowing her to care for Aria-Rose, while regaining her mental health.

She went through a difficult period after her daughter's birth after struggling with escalating depression and anxiety which worsened each day.
"I remember someone telling me all they could see in my eyes was fear, and that captured it perfectly," she added.
"I was terrified of my own baby."
Diagnosed with postnatal depression, the pair were admitted to Kingfisher MBU for two months, where Ms Gosling engaged with various groups and outings to aid her recovery.
