It comes after the former railway crossing keepers gatehouse - known as Gate House Cottage - had failed to sell at a previous online property auction in July.

Situated near to the busy Lowestoft to Ipswich train line - meaning it has 22 trains running just metres past it every day - the two-bed cottage attracted lots of attention.

But it did not quite hit its reserve price after bidding was halted last month at £176,000.

Now, marketed once more by Auction House East Anglia, it is due to be sold on a freehold tenure with a guide price of £160,000 to £180,000 plus fees as

The former railway gatehouse is set to go under the hammer at a livestream auction on September 11.
