A search operation is under way to find a person who has gone missing on the Norfolk Broads.

At just after 11pm on Friday, Winterton and Bacton Coastguard Rescue Teams, Hemsby Broads Rescue and a Coastguard helicopter were alerted to a person in the water at Wroxham Broad. 

Searches of the area continue this morning.

The East of England Ambulance Service, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, with crews from Wroxham and Carrow, and Norfolk Police have also been at the scene.

Norfolk Police have shut Wroxham Broad and the the public car park next to it is also closed.

People with boats have been turned away and some people on cruisers were told they would have to leave the Broad.
