A man in his late 60s was assaulted while walking his two dogs in a seaside town. 

The incident happened on Wednesday between 8.30pm and 8.40pm on the service road between Notley Road and Kimberley Road in Lowestoft. 

A white woman with blonde hair, aged in her 50s, was walking a small black Labrador-type dog while riding a bike. 

The dog, believed to be called Lulu, was off the lead and approached the victim's dogs, which were being walked on the lead.

He asked the woman to call her dog back as it was upsetting his dogs.

A man in his 20s with dark hair and black clothing then appeared and pushed the man to the ground, shouting obscenities at him.

The dog walker sustained an injury to his elbow and his phone was damaged. 

Police believe that other people witnessed the incident and one person did check if the man was alright.
