A Norfolk student is preparing to venture into the futuristic world of AI after scoring five A* grades in her A Levels.
Vinethmi Kulasinghe, who attended Springwood High School in King's Lynn, secured a quintet of top grades - one of the region's many A Level success stories.
And she is now preparing to study robotics and artificial intelligence at University College London - having earned A*s in maths, further maths, physics, chemistry and an extended project qualification.
She said: "I am fascinated about AI. It's the next big thing and the way things are going at the moment, but I picked the cause because of the robotics element."
Other pupils from the school are heading off to Oxbridge universities - including 18-year-old Ren Griffiths, who will study at Cambridge and Lexie Ampomah, who is attending Oxford.
Elsewhere, Gavin Green, headteacher at Fakenham Academy, said its pupils had earned a "significant increase" in top grades.
And a spokesman for Dereham Sixth Form College said they were "very pleased" with the results its pupils achieved.
