City school leavers are set to trade Norwich for Oxbridge after achieving top results in their A Levels.
Across the city, sixth form and college students flocked back one last time to college their all-important results as they prepare for their next steps.
Many of these will now be packing their bags and getting ready to start university - while others will be taking their first steps into the working world.
Among the success stories was Emily Cunnington, a pupil at Norwich High School for Girls - who has been accepted to the University of Oxford, where she will study French.
Two of the school's pupils - Ella Ingleby and Rosie Munnings - achieved straight A*s, with 94pc of all results graded A* to C.
City of Norwich School also saw a number of its students granted places at Oxford and Cambridge.
Jo Philpott, the schools headteacher, said it was "such a special day", with 88pc of its pupils progressing to their chosen universities.
At Lord Nelson Sixth Form, based at Ormiston Victory Academy in Costessey, there was particular success in art and biology - where every single pupils achieved grades between A* and C.
Tom Pinnington, headteacher of Notre Dame High School, said he was "immensely proud" of the cohort.
He said: "There are many students we could mention but we would like to particularly congratulate Mwaba Mkwasa, off to study pharmacy at Bath, Sophia Gough-Solar, studying creative writing at UEA and Stella Mitov, who will be studying medicine at Imperial."
Jo Kershaw, vice principal of City College Norwich, Easton College and Paston College said: "After two years of hard work, it has been wonderful to see our students succeeding and achieving in their courses of study."
At Jane Austin College Sixth Form, 80pc of pupils were given grades of C or above, while at Sir Isaac Newton this figure was 85pc.
