A Lowestoft man has been told all sentencing options are open after admitting having sexual images of children.
Jason Day, 43, appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court to face four charges of possessing indecent images of a child in January 2023.
23 of the images were deemed to be category A, the most serious kind.
Day, of Marine Parade in Lowestoft, also pleaded guilty to 45 category B and 61 category C images, and possession of 46 prohibited images of a child.
Holly Postle, prosecuting, said a further charge of engaging in sexual communication with a child for sexual gratification in 2022 was being withdrawn with no evidence offered.
Magistrates told him they were not ruling out a prison sentence after ordering an “all options” pre-sentence report, because they did not have enough information on his background and risks.
He was placed on the sex offenders' register and told he had three days to notify police of his personal details including his bank accounts, passport details and aliases.
He was given unconditional bail until his sentencing on November 1.
