Drivers will be sent on an hour-long diversion later this month when roadworks start near Long Stratton.
Hempnall Road is to close on August 27 for carriageway repairs and the closure will run from Boylandhall Lane to just before the Hempnall Road retail park.

An official 35-mile diversion route has been put in place taking drivers along the A140 from Long Stratton to Scole, then on the A143 to Bungay, before joining the B1332 to Woodton and returning to Hempnall.
According to One Network, the diversion route is expected to take around an hour.
The closure will be in force all day but emergency access will be maintained throughout.
