A man is to stand trial accused of sex offences against two boys dating back more than 40 years ago.

Ricky Eagle, 63, has been charged with five sexual offences against two boys - neither of whom can be identified for legal reasons - between September 1980 and June 1988.

At Norwich Crown Court on Monday (August 12) Eagle pleaded not guilty to two counts of indecent assault against one boy aged under 14 - between 1984 and 1988 - and two counts of indecent assault against a second child - between September 1980 and December 1982.

Eagle, of Longmeadow Close, Griston, Thetford, also denied an offence of encouraging a child under 14 to commit an act of gross indecency between 1980 and 1982.

Judge Alice Robinson set a trial date of December 15 next year.

Eagle, who was represented by Michael Clare, was granted bail.
