A member of the public issued first aid to a man after finding him with a stab wound in the centre of Attleborough.
The first aider, who did not wish to be named, found the man in Queen's Square Park today at 12pm.
Seeing that he had been stabbed in the hand, the man rushed to the local pharmacy to get bandages and gauze to cover the wound.
"There was a lot of blood, as you can imagine," they said.
"The police arrived quite quickly, so I left shortly after they arrived.
"The man mentioned that they knew the person that had stabbed him and seemed quite intoxicated."

Norfolk Constabulary confirmed that they were called to reports of a disturbance at a house in Fisherman’s Court in Attleborough at 11.50am.
Early enquiries suggest several men had been drinking when a man was stabbed with a knife, suffering an injury to his hand.
Both the victim and suspect had left the scene before officers arrived at the property and efforts to trace them are ongoing.
A spokeswoman for Norfolk Constabulary said that all parties were known to one another and there is not believed to be any wider risk to the public.
