Plans to turn redundant barns into four new homes have been given the go-ahead.
West Norfolk Council has agreed the properties at Harpley, near King's Lynn, can be converted.
A planning statement said the fabric of the buildings, on Ravens Yard off Nethergate Street, would not be altered.
Harpley, off the A148 between Lynn and Fakenham, has been named as one of Norfolk's best unsung villages.
The planning statement said the new homes would fit in with the "diverse housing accommodation" available in the village.
It added the barns were no longer viable for commercial use.
A planning officer's report said: "The site layout, the proposed design and materials, provision of amenity space and the landscaping proposed would deliver a sympathetic scheme which provides a high quality living environment for future residents."
