Police investigations are continuing into the death of a "sensitive, kind and caring" teenager who died in a road collision.

Aiden Bailey, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near his home at Snettisham, near Hunstanton.

It happened while he was riding his motorcycle on the A149 near the Snettisham roundabout at around 5.10 pm on August 6 last year.

Police said Mr Bailey and another motorcyclist had been travelling towards Hunstanton when his vehicle was involved in a collision with a Range Rover going in the opposite direction.

On Wednesday, assistant coroner Christopher Leach held a brief review at Norfolk Coroner’s Court into Mr Bailey's death.

He said: “This inquest is being reviewed and it is not yet ready for hearing.

“The police continue to conduct their investigation into the crash and a decision has yet to be taken into whether any file will be transferred to the Crown Prosecution Service to consider charges.

“While the police investigation is on-going it is not appropriate for this case to proceed to an inquest.”

Mr Leach adjourned the inquest for a further review in November.

At an earlier opening, the court heard that Mr Bailey worked as a baker and lived at Ingolside at Snettisham.

A pathologist's report gave the medical cause of his death as multiple injuries.

Paying tribute to him, his family said: “Aiden was such a sensitive, kind, caring, loving, funny son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend and friend to so many.

"Always putting everyone else before himself. Words can’t begin to express the loss and sadness we all feel that he has been taken so young.”
