A dessert shop has announced it has closed its doors in the Norwich Lanes.

BellyBoos has revealed it has shut its site in Lower Goat Lane due to "unforeseen circumstances" after relocating from Chantry Place last October.

Stocking a variety of sweet treats and drinks, the site also offered a range of ice creams and milkshakes inspired by the popular American 'freakshakes'.

The store attracted millions of views on social media for its loaded milkshakes, pancakes and cakes, garnished with sweet toppings.

The family-owned business originally launched in Gorleston in 2013, with a Chantry Place store which opened and closed in 2023.

At the time of opening the Lower Gate Lane branch, Bellyboos director Kallista Redmond said: "Our goal was always to move to the city and we're excited to see what this new area brings to us.”

"Bookings made for our workshops will be refunded."
