A Norfolk parish councillor has appeared in court accused of a sexual offence against a young girl almost 30 years ago.
Neville Johnson, 64, from Blickling, pleaded not guilty at Norwich Magistrates’ Court to the indecent assault of a girl aged under 14.
The offence is said to have occurred in June 1997.
The case will be heard at Norwich Crown Court with a preliminary hearing on August 27.
Johnson is listed as a councillor on Blickling Parish Council.
