A new pizza place has been approved for a town high street despite claims it already has far too many.
Plans for a takeaway in 40 Market Street, Wymondham - previously a stationary shop - have been given the go-ahead by South Norfolk Council after three months of deliberation.
The proposed business is part of a franchise called Caprinos and would "promote healthier oven-baked food in comparison to Greggs, Subway or Dominos" according to a planning statement.
But a raft of objections said the town is already awash with takeaways just like it.
One begrudging commenter said: "Wymondham badly needs a variety of different businesses providing different goods.

"Too many businesses like this have closed because they are in direct competition with one another.
"Fast food is bad for our community, please refuse this application."
Another said: "I have to strongly object to this proposal because there is already a baker right next door selling the exact same items.
"This is unfair and ridiculous, commerce is hard enough without this intrusion of another competitor."
However, the bid was pushed through after the applicant provided plans for an extraction system to prevent odours for neighbouring businesses and homes.
