A 24-year-old man from Norfolk has been jailed for making and distributing indecent images of children.
Rhys Redfern, of Buckenham Road in Attleborough, was jailed for three years at Norwich Crown Court on Wednesday.
He pleaded guilty to six counts of making an indecent image of a child, three counts of distributing an indecent image of a child, one count of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and one count of possession of a paedophile manual.
In September 2023, officers from the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU) arrested Redfern on suspicion of arranging the commission of a child sex offence.
They seized several digital devices belonging to him for which he refused to provide the PINs for.
He was charged and given a suspended sentence in October 2023 which included a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
Following further investigations, officers gained access to Redfern's devices in November 2023 and found indecent images of children.
He was arrested and charged in January following a search of his home in which two unregistered devices were found, breaching the conditions of his SHPO.
Officers also found a USB stick containing a manual with instructions and advice for those wanting to obtain and produce indecent images of children.
Investigating SEROCU officer, detective constable Elliott Hartley, said: “Although Redfern has shown remorse for his offending, this does not detract from the seriousness of the offences he has pleaded guilty to.
