5 dogs looking for a new home in Norfolk this week

Here are five pooches from the Dogs Trust, RSPCA and rescue centres across the region who are looking for a new Norfolk home this week.

1) Gus the greyhound

Gus has been living at RSPCA Mid Norfolk and North Suffolk after growing up in an unsuitable environment and moving back and forth between homes.

During his 200 days at the branch, Gus has only received one application for adoption, which was unsuitable.

Due to all the moving in his early life, Gus suffers from separation anxiety so he would need an owner that is willing to be patient and work with him.

2) Sully the boxer cross

Sully the boxer cross (Image: Home Counties Boxer Welfare) Sully was taken in by Home Counties Boxer Welfare 11 months ago and is currently being fostered in Norfolk.

When he arrived at his foster home, he was underweight and quite "skittish" because he had not been regularly walked in the past.

Due to his dislike for other dogs, he should be the only pet but he is great with children so could be rehomed with dog-savvy kids over the age of seven.

3) Peggy the greyhound

Peggy, who recently came into the care of Dogs Trust Snetterton, loves to sniff, chase her toys and practice her zoomies in the garden.

She gets excited when she sees another dog to play with and would enjoy having a secure garden with a 6ft fence.

Peggy can live with secondary school-age children who can handle a big bouncy pup.

Peggy will need patient adopters who are willing to continue her training and ease her into her new environment.

4) Malachi the foxhound

Malachi is a handsome 10-year-old Foxhound cross who came into Dogs Trust Snetterton with very little information.

He is a very sweet and affectionate boy who loves the company of people and his food.

Malachi doesn’t know much in terms of training so he will need help to learn new things in a positive reward based way.

5) Summit the border collie

Summit is a sweet two-year-old Collie looking for a new home at Dogs Trust Snetterton.

He is a clever boy who would enjoy learning some new skills in his new home such as walking loosely on lead.

He can be unsure around other dogs and so will be best as the only dog in the home and would benefit from some further training around dog interactions.
