Following the news that Carpetright has been bought in a rescue deal by rival Tapi, it has been revealed that several stores in Norfolk are set to close.
It was announced yesterday that the flooring retailer Tapi had agreed to buy 54 Carpetright stores, two warehouses, the brand and its intellectual property.
However, the deal will not save the majority of the business including its head office in Essex and many stores across the region.
Of the four Carpetright stores located in Norfolk, only the city's Sprowston Retail Park branch will stay open.

The remaining stores in Dereham, Thetford and Norwich's Sweet Briar Retail Park are all set to close.
Across the border in Suffolk, the chain's Lowestoft branch will also close.
Carpetright filed a notice to appoint administrators earlier this month after struggling in the face of weaker demand and a major cyber attack in April.
The company employed 1,852 people and operated 272 stores across the UK before entering insolvency.
With the stores set to shut, it remains unknown as to how many jobs will be affected in Norfolk.
