A teenager has been charged with drink driving after a crash in a village near Norwich.
The crash happened in Long Lane in Strumpshaw at 12.45am on Monday when a car struck a garden wall and telegraph pole.
The driver fled the scene causing a police search to begin.
Officers found the car a short time later in Stone Road in the same village.
Using police dogs, the driver was tracked and arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol.
He was taken to James Paget Hospital in Gorleston for checks and subsequently to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation for questioning.
Jules Saunders, of Church Road, Cantley, was charged with driving with excess alcohol.
The 19-year-old was released on bail and is due to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court on August 28.
