Two men accused of attempted murder following a near fatal knife attack in Norwich have both admitted lesser charges.
Tyrell Chester, 21, and Enock Kitopi, 22, were both charged following an incident in Silver Road when two men, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, were attacked with weapons, including a machete.
The victims, who are in their 20s, suffered injuries in the near fatal attack on September 18, 2022.
Chester, of Heathgate, Norwich, and Kitopi, of Geoffrey Watling Way, Norwich, were originally due to stand trial later this month having both denied two counts of attempted murder.
They had also both pleaded not guilty to two counts of wounding with intent.
The case was back before Norwich Crown Court on Friday when Kitopti entered guilty pleas to two counts of wounding with intent as well as one offence of having a machete on September 18, 2022.
He also entered guilty pleas to intimidating a witness on January 23, 2023, and possession of a machete in St John's Alley, Norwich, on the same date.
Chester entered guilty pleas to two counts of wounding with intent as well as possession of a machete on September 18, 2022.
Judge Anthony Bate adjourned sentence for both defendants until September 30 for the preparation of pre-sentence reports.
But despite granting them both conditional bail, Judge Bate warned "all options would be open to the judge who deals with it".
