No further action is to be taken against a woman who is alleged to have shot two 13-year-old boys.

Police were called and swarmed onto the beach at Hemsby where they arrested a woman said to have shot two boys climbing on the cliffs at the Marrams.

The extraordinary incident unfolded while the beach was crowded with bank holiday visitors enjoying the sunny weather on Saturday, May 4.

Two of the children were wounded after being hit with what are thought to have been pellets from an air BB gun during a row at Hemsby.

It is said the boys disregarded notices to keep off the eroding cliffs and verbally abused people who asked them to stay away.

The two boys received minor injuries.

They were members of a youth rugby team which was staying in the village near Great Yarmouth to take part in a tournament that weekend.
