An air ambulance has been called and train services have been cancelled at a Norfolk railway station.
Emergency services were called at around 6pm to Attleborough Railway Station after somebody is thought to have had a near miss with a train.
A Greater Anglia spokesperson said: “Some services between Norwich and Ely were disrupted yesterday evening while safety checks were carried out.
“Network Rail attended, and a rail replacement bus service was in operation while the line was closed."
Routes affected include East Midland Railways between Norwich, Sheffield, and Liverpool Lime Street and Greater Anglia trains between Norwich, Cambridge and Stansted Airport.
Greater Anglia tickets were being accepted on Great Northern services between Ely and Cambridge and also on CrossCountry services between Ely and Stansted Airport.
A service for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "An extensive search was conducted with colleagues from the Police, British Transport Police and Fire and Rescue Service.
"No patient was found, and it is believed that they had narrowly avoided being hit by the train."
Fire crews from Wymondham and Attleborough also attended.
