North Walsham's community pub and theatre, The Black Swan, has unveiled its ambitious summer season programme.

Coming events will mark several firsts for the town, such as a weekly Summer Show throughout August, a family weekend crammed with fun-filled activities, and a variety of workshops for individuals of all ages.

The Black Swan Theatre, which operates as a not-for-profit entity, endeavours to be a welcoming and accessible destination for North Walsham residents.

Recognising the community's support, Joseph Ballard, director of New Stages, expressed pride in their collective accomplishments.

Particularly, he is looking forward to the upcoming Summer Show, a dynamic blend of variety, live entertainment, and family theatre.

The Summer Show, a unique first for North Walsham, promises an enthralling night of comedy, magic, and song aimed at audiences of all ages.

Renowned artist Chris North, known for his comedy magic, will also be performing in the show every Thursday from August 8 to 29 at 7.30pm.

Additionally, community members will embrace Norfolk Day throughout the week of July 23 to 28, with the pub and theatre celebrating local flavours and folklore.

Free drama workshops for adults will be held over the summer, and a range of youth theatre workshops will also be available for children and young people every Wednesday in August.

The theatre is also hosting free summer workshops for children who have access to free school meals, in partnership with Big Norfolk Holiday Fun.

There will also be a four-day Summer School from August 28 to 31 for 8-16 year olds.

Join the very first Family Weekend, running August 2 to 4, which includes a mini disco, family barbecue, free theatre show "Peachy and Me", and a Grease Sing-along.
