A Norwich-based branding studio behind Jarrolds’ 21st century relaunch has won a “design Oscar” for the project.
Branding guru Bobby Burrage’s agency, The Click, redesigned the department store’s logo for the first time in almost a century and has now won a Design and Art Direction (D&AD) Pencil for the logo - an award he says is the “holy grail” for designers.

“For those that know all about D&AD, you’ll understand just how proud and humbled we are to have our work recognised at the highest level, alongside the best agencies and creative work on the planet,” he said.
“Winning a D&AD Pencil is a huge moment for The Click, and it’s extra special that we’ve achieved this with branding projects delivered here in our home city.”
Only 11 projects were shortlisted in the logos category, with the Jarrolds logo winning the D&AD Pencil and The Click’s Norwich Castle rebrand also shortlisted.
There were 30,000 pieces of work at this year’s D&AD Awards, with 12,387 entries from 78 countries.
The Click is behind some of the region’s most recognisable modern businesses, including café chain Bread Source, wine merchant Harper Wells, and chef Richard Bainbridge’s provisions shop, R.Bainbridge.
