The body of a man found at a nature reserve near Norwich has been named.
Aaron Gordon, 22, of Horning Close in Norwich, was discovered having drowned at Marston Marsh on March 4.
At the time of his death, the area was blocked off by tape and a police officer stood at the entrance to the Yare Valley Walk.
Norfolk Police confirmed that they had been called to Abinger Way, which leads on to Martson Marsh, at 6.38am and Mr Gordon’s body was found at the location.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An inquest into his death was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court last week and the medical cause of death was recorded as “drowning”.
Mr Gordon was not in employment at the time of this death, and it was heard that he been born in the city on April 3, 2001.
An inquest to determine the official cause of death will take place later in the year at the court at County Hall.
Marston Marsh is a 64-acre nature reserve on the southern outskirts of Norwich, owned and managed by Norwich City Council.
