The Director of the Year category at the EDP Business Awards 2024 is open to entrants of all levels within the business community.
The winner may be a business leader who has worked in the industry for many years or an entrepreneur who is accelerating their career with speed.
Not only are Norfolk’s entrepreneurs and business leaders responsible for steering the growth of businesses in the region; they also play a significant role as local employers and role models for the next generation.
Their achievements can help to drive the ambitions of others who want to replicate this success, which makes a positive contribution to our local community and helps to retain talent in the region.
The judges in the Director of the Year category will be looking for an individual who embodies these principles.
Entrants must demonstrate clear evidence of implementing plans that ultimately achieve business growth, including financial growth and investment. The judges also require evidence of clear managerial leadership backed by a set of defined values, and the ways in which directors have shown resilience through challenges.
Phin Robinson, managing director of Pure Physiotherapy, which has clinics across the country, was named Director of the Year in 2023.
The judges praised Phin’s passion as well as his “clear and transparent dedication to his team” in terms of investment in their skills, wellbeing and motivation.
They said that his “excellent strategic input” showcased a “considered appetite to diversify and grow the business”.
Phin said he was “immensely proud” to have received the title of Director of the Year at last year’s awards ceremony. He added that it was an “honour to be recognised” for what has been achieved at Pure Physiotherapy.
“I believe winning this award is down to our team-focused and collaborative approach, and I would like to thank every single member of my team for their hard work and dedication.”
