A seaside fish and chip shop has reopened after being closed for almost a year following a fire.
Stevenson’s, in Sheringham High Street, welcomed back customers this week after being closed since July last year when a chip pan caught fire, gutting the inside of the building.
Two members of staff managed to escape the fire, turning off the gas as they fled the flames to prevent the fish and chip shop from exploding.
The chippy reopened on Monday just in time for summer.
Owner Rob Wicks, who took over just two weeks before the fire, said: "It has been a long time coming.
"It has been nearly a year now, but we're reopening in time for the summer and the better weather, which should bring people out.
"We're really pleased to be back up and running again. It has been a long haul and stressful at times over the last year, but we were always going to get there in the end.
"It's looking really good and I hope customers like it."
