True crime fans can dine with a detective who has investigated several serial killers.

On Friday, guests are invited to the Louis Marchesi pub in Norwich to hear the former Scotland Yard detective Steve Gaskin discuss what it is like to track down a serial killer.

"I had the privilege of being a detective chief inspector in the Metropolitan Police for 25 years and have investigated all kinds of serious crime including murder, terrorism, serious drug trafficking and lots of other crimes," Mr Gaskin said.

"Now, my team and I offer incredibly unique and interactive talks on psychopaths, undercover policing, offender profiling, serial killers, murder investigations and crime scene investigation."

Mr Gaskin will aim to answer several questions such as 'what is a serial killer?' and 'why do serial killers commit these crimes?', using a host of British serial killers as examples.

The two-hour experience runs from 7.30pm until 9.30pm during which time participants will be able to order food from the pub.

Tickets are available now on EventBrite for £22.98, which does not include food or drinks but allows guests to take home a murder case file souvenir.
