From the broads to the beaches, an array of cheap or free family events will be held across Norfolk this Summer.
There will be opportunities to dance, get creative, listen to live music and soak up the sunshine at a low cost across the county.
1. Salhouse Summer Festival
Where: Salhouse Recreation Ground, Thieves Lane, Salhouse NR13 6RF
When: July 6, 12pm to 9pm
Price: Free
Salhouse Summer Festival is returning to the village with live music, food and craft stalls and activities for children.
The event will be completely free to enter, only requesting contributions for parking.
There will be bouncy castles, face painting, a bar from Redwell Brewery and it is dog-friendly.
2. Sunflower Sundowner
Where: Ha Ha Farm, Hemblington Road, Blofield NR13 4AH
When: August 1 to August 10, from 5pm until 9pm
Price: Adults £10pp, children £5, under-5s go free
This event will allow families to pick their sunflowers while watching the sunset.
Ha Ha Farm in Strumpshaw first launched PYO sunflowers in 2023 and it has since doubled in size.
Guests to enjoy the golden hour with live music, delicious food and drinks from local vendors.

3. Norwich Summer Sessions

When: Thursday evenings between 4pm and 8pm (July 11 to July 25), Sunday afternoons between 12.30pm and 4.30pm (August 4 to August 29)
Price: Free
Norwich Summer Sessions, previously known as Head Out, Not Home, is back for 2024 for another year of street performances.
The family-friendly event will host a mix of established local bands, regional and national acts, world-renowned street theatre and up-and-coming artists.
Festival guests can enjoy a range of music genres from folk and jazz to country and pop.
4. Family Festival at Norwich Theatre Royal
Where: Theatre Street, Norwich, NR2 1RL
When: July 22 to July 25
Price: Free, £3, £10
Norwich Theatre Royal will be bringing its Family Festival back, equipped with interactive workshops, drop-in sessions, SEND activities and shows for all types of families.
A range of activities will be held in the space, from dance workshops to sing-alongs as well as discos and crafting that promises a fun space for generations to connect.
There will also be puppet-making, sensory stories, kindness workshops and exhibitions, poetry workshops and drumming.

5. Caister Festival
Where: King George V Field, Allendale Road, Caister on sea, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, NR30 5ES
When: June 29 and June 30, 2pm to 8pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday
Price: Free entry
A fun fair with bouncy castles and a huge slide will provide plenty of entertainment for children.
More than 100 stalls from local crafters and small businesses will be set up at the festival, with eight different food stalls offering a range of cuisine, with classics such as burgers, chips and ice cream.
A petting farm will also see alpacas and miniature donkeys welcoming visitors, alongside a display of vintage fire engines, the local police and the Caister lifeboat team.
6. Folk in the Town music festival
Where: King's Lynn marketplace
When: July 20 - July 21, 10.30am - 5pm
Price: Free
This two-day music festival is returning to a Norfolk town centre for the seventh time, with live music from across the folk genre including traditional folk, Americana, folk rock and bluegrass.
Man the Lifeboats, an upbeat London five-piece, is set to headline on Saturday and Georgia Shackleton, who puts a modern twist on traditional tunes, is headlining on Sunday.
7. Lord Mayor's Weekend
Where: Norwich city centre and Chapelfield Gardens
When: July 13 - July 14
Price: Free
Hosted by Norwich City Council, the weekend will see the historic Lord Mayor’s Procession take to the streets on Saturday, July 13 with entertainment in Chapelfield Gardens.
The procession will take to the streets on the afternoon of Saturday 13 July, continuing with lots of entertainment in Chapelfield Gardens.
There will also be a free-to-attend evening programme of live music, headlined by the UK Foo Fighters.
The event will be rounded off on Sunday with the Great Norwich Duck Race along the River Wensum.
