A new vape shop has opened its doors in the city centre and says it aims to help crack down on underage sales.

Evapo is located next to Starbucks and opposite Fatface in Haymarket, which is just a stone's throw away from several other similar stores.

It opened on Monday, June 16 and its boss has slammed those who have "willingly flouted" the law in selling vapes to youngsters and "discrediting the rest of the industry".

A spokesman for Evapo said: "A key goal of Evapo is to crack down on the illegal sale of vaping products to underage customers, an issue that has become increasingly prevalent due to unprofessional and complacent retailers.

"Evapo prides itself on its strict age-verification checks, ensuring that their products are not sold to anyone under the age of 18.

"Recently, this issue has been reported in Norwich, with sniffer dogs being brought into City of Norwich School to try and prevent pupils bringing in and using vaping products at school."

The Evapo shop has taken the place of the former Harris and James - a bakery, chocolatier and ice cream shop.

The opening has come as news broke that a new vape shop, Prime Vape, will be replacing Mr Shoes in St Stephens Street.
