A man has been charged with rape after an incident in a city park last week.
It happened shortly after 11pm on June 10 when a man was raped near the bandstand in Chapelfield Gardens.
Enquiries led officers to arrest a man in his 30s in Beccles on Monday night.
Idrees Jaff, 38, of Berners Close, Norwich, has now been charged with two counts of rape of a male.
He appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court today where he was remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Crown Court on July 17.
