A new electric bicycle store is set to open in Norwich.

e-Velo is opening a new store in the Royal Arcade next month, selling a range of e-bikes from some of Europe's top brands.

The family-run business opened its first store in Halesworth, Suffolk, in 2015, and has become East Anglia's largest electric bicycle retailer, stocking more than 100 models and sizes.

e-Velo's second store will be in the former Langleys unit, which has been vacant since the toy shop moved further along the Royal Arcade opposite Marmalade.

Simon Ashdown, director of LPC1 Ltd, which manages the Royal Arcade, said: “It’s really good news to be able to welcome e-Velo to the Royal Arcade community.

"Having just celebrated its 125th anniversary, the timing is perfect to open a store that is completely different to anything else we have in the Arcade and to attract people in with a new proposition.

"We cannot wait for Mark and his team to open and expect that they will do great business being right in the heart of the city, where it is easy for people to pop in and find out what e-bike is right for them.”
