A 48-year-old taxi driver died from multi-organ failure at a Norfolk hospital, a court has heard.
David Butler, of Mill Road in Emneth, near Wisbech, died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn on April 5.
An inquest into his death was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court, based at County Hall, Norwich, on June 19.
The senior coroner, Jacqueline Lake, confirmed the primary cause of death was given as “multi-organ failure”. Mr Butler also had several co-morbidities.
His body was identified by his wife.
An inquest to determine the official cause of death will take place later in the year at the court on December 12.
The court also heard that Mr Butler had been born on August 17, 1975, in Peterborough.
