A clothing and record shop in the heart of the Lanes will take on a new look as it transforms into a dedicated vintage store.

Lowell, at 8 Pottergate, announced that it would soon be closing its doors after a "crazy few years", but reopening as Stones Vintage in the coming months.

The business, which specialises in music records and vintage clothing, was started by Cat Stones and Jack Ames and opened in mid-2021.

Now, as Jack steps back from the business to pursue separate ventures, Cat will undertake sole responsibility for the shop and fit it out with her brand of vintage clothing sales.

"I'm looking forward to seeing where the shop goes after Lowell, it's been wonderful."

Cat added that she has received an overwhelming amount of support since the announcement and people are positive about the change.

"Norwich is full of good people," she said.

Lowell's last day will be June 30 and records and books are currently 30pc off.
