More than 40 farmers, consultants and estate directors joined an annual study tour aimed at sharing knowledge across East Anglia's agricultural industry.
Associates and Fellows of the Council for Awards of the Royal Agricultural Societies (CARAS) visited three of the region's major farming businesses during the tour, which also included the group's annual meeting.
They visited Fenland salad and vegetable grower G’s, near Ely, the scientific research base at NIAB (National Institute for Agricultural Botany) near Cambridge, and the 22,500-acre Elveden Estate, on the Norfolk-Suffolk border near Thetford.
The visits showcased innovation and business growth, giving the group a "unique insight" into the investment, research and development happening across the three respective businesses.
Group organiser and CARAS associate Milly Fyfe said: "The study tour provides the group with the opportunity to learn from other businesses. We have come away inspired.
"It is important to get off the farm and see what others are doing which might help to develop and aspect of our business or support the next generation wanting to develop within the food and farming industry.
"Thank you to our hosts and to our sponsor Anglian Water for hosting us."
