Plans for a new tattoo studio in the city centre have been approved.

Ben Green applied to Norwich City Centre for permission to convert 25 Charing Cross into "Take Care Tattoo Parlour" from its previous use as an estate agent.

This application received no objections and under the plans, the currently unoccupied 58.41sqm space will be fitted with five tattoo beds and associated furniture.

According to a design document, a hand-painted sign will be fixed to the front of the building which will be designed by a local artist.

It also reads: "We plan to decorate portions of the facia with motifs that are related to our business, such as a rose and other such designs that are recognisable to tattoo fans.

"These motifs will be inoffensive and purely decorative.

"We also plan to change the colour of the rendered portion of the building from an off-white colour to a yellow colour."

The business' proposed opening hours are 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, including Sunday, and 10am to 6pm on Saturday.
