Adnams

Step into the Adnams Food and Drink Experience and immerse yourself in a world of great beer, brilliant spirits and fantastic wines.

Founded in Southwold in 1872, Adnams has been saying ‘cheers’ for 150 years, crafting authentic and well-loved beverages that champion local ingredients because, frankly, they’re the best.

“The Royal Norfolk Show is always a highlight of our event calendar,” said Matt Regan, Adnams events manager. “We love the atmosphere at the show: seeing thousands of people come together to enjoy and celebrate Norfolk and East Anglian life.”

This year, Adnams has two bars serving up a full range of drinks, including their iconic Ghost Ship ale and refreshing Copper House gin and tonic.

Inside the Food Hall, you can enjoy cask and keg beers and a selection of fine wines. On the showground, look out for the Adnams Beer Truck. “It’s a great place to meet up or take a well-earned rest in a deckchair,” said Matt.

But the experience doesn’t stop there! Head over to the Adnams Talks Stage to sample products and learn firsthand about food and drink production from the passionate members of the team.

“There’s always something new to try, so we will be offering samples of our latest products and reigniting your love of some longstanding favourites.”

Adnams will be sharing its rebranded beer range with visitors for the first time. “We worked with local artist Vanessa Sorboen, who lives in Norwich,” said Matt. “She has produced six beautiful oil paintings that move the story of our beers forward, while remaining true to their heritage and heart.”

Bullards and Niche Cocktails

For this year’s Royal Norfolk Show, Niche Cocktails and Bullards have joined forces to create a one-of- a-kind cocktail that embodies the essence of summer.

With a rich history dating back to 1837, Bullards prides itself on crafting exceptional gin and spirits that capture the essence of Norfolk’s finest ingredients.

“Our collaboration with Niche Cocktails introduces our first ready-to-drink cocktail: The Royal Norfolk Show Summer Pudding Gin Fizz,” said Bullards brand experience manager Oliver Chapman.

“We always loved the idea of making the perfect drink for summertime,” added Niche Cocktails CEO Rob Breakwell. “The Royal Norfolk Show Summer Pudding Gin Fizz will be full of the taste of summer, with flavours of strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant mixed with Bullard’s Gin and a lovely sparkle to lift the spirits.”

Crafted with Bullards’ new Summer Pudding Gin, what sets this cocktail apart is its unique infusion method, where sliced white bread is added to the distillation, resulting in rich cake-like flavours reminiscent of the beloved British summer pudding, as well as a blend of ripe berries and delicate hints of vanilla and spice.

“My favourite part of the Royal Norfolk Show is undoubtedly the atmosphere and the sense of community it brings,” said Oliver. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life, sample products and celebrate Norfolk’s rich heritage and traditions. The exhibitions, delicious food offerings, and exciting events make it a memorable experience for everyone involved.

“We look forward to welcoming you at the Royal Norfolk Show. Join us in raising a glass to craftsmanship, creativity and the spirit of Norfolk!”

Brancaster Bay Shellfish

Thomas Large is a sixth-generation fisherman from Brancaster Staithe in north Norfolk specialising in Brancaster mussels.

The business supplies pubs and restaurants along the Norfolk coastline with the freshest mussels in a sustainable, carbon negative way.

In 2018, the business invested in a catering unit known as The Mussel Pod, which travels around the country during the summer months.

At the show, The Mussel Pod will be serving up moules mariniere, moule frites, Thai-style mussels and mussels cooked in local cider at Jubilee Food Court South. Each dish is cooked individually to ensure perfection for each customer.

“We are always happy to teach people how to cook mussels properly and get the best out of them,” said Thomas. “We can also chat about where our mussels have come from and the process of farming, so that customers can learn about the sustainability we create as a business.”
