The family of a "loving and caring” father who took his own life has urged others struggling with mental ill health to speak out. 

The heartfelt words were shared following an inquest into the death of 25-year-old Taylor Ives-Keeler. 

His body was discovered outside a property on Salhouse Road in Norwich, just metres away from his home on the morning of November 18 last year. 

His family said: “He was caring and loving and would do anything for anyone. He’d walk miles and miles just to be there for his family.  

“He knew everyone. Every time he walked out someone would stop and say ‘hi’ to him.   

“He had such a unique, goofy laugh which we all called his ‘Donald Duck laugh’. He loved animals and once even brought home two ducks.

“He also loved parkour, reggae music and drum ‘n’ bass, and gardening. He would have wanted to pursue a career as a landscaper gardener.” 

He was described as “a brilliant dad” to his six-year-old son, and two daughters, aged four and two.   

His family added: “For anyone else who may be struggling with their own mental ill health, we would ask them to reach out, and just speak to anyone. Do not keep it bottled up.”

The inquest into his death was held at Norfolk Coroner’s Court, based at County Hall, on June 12.

The assistant coroner, Christopher Leach, recorded a short narrative conclusion. The medical cause of death was hanging. 

He said: “Taylor Ives-Keeler died as a consequence of his own actions, his intention being unknown.” 

A Go Fund Me page, organised by his family in his memory, went on to raise £4,400 in just four days.
