A huge antique, vintage and makers' market with 60 stalls is taking over a Norfolk racecourse.

The new market series, known as the Dark Horse Brocante, will take place at Fakenham Racecourse this Sunday and August 4 from 9am to 3pm.

Visitors can "expect to find the unexpected", with dealers across the region offering furniture, garden pieces, pottery, textiles, vintage clothes, jewellery and paintings.

The market series from Blackdog Events which launched in 2015 has been organised by the owners of Blackdog Antiques in Halesworth.

Originally based in Bungay for 29 years, the antique store moved to a Grade II listed building in Halesworth in 2014, with its events business quickly growing in popularity and scale.

This year the company will be holding 10 events, two of which will be at Fakenham Racecourse.

Kate Button, owner of both businesses, said: "We are really excited to be at this new venue, we think it is going to be a winner.

"The markets have been so successful, we always pull in a good footfall and we have lots of regulars travelling to us.

"You can find anything and everything, you never know what’s going to turn up and there's something for every pocket and taste.

"We’re really looking forward to our new location, there's loads of space and some great on-site facilities.

"It’s a really good day out and we're only 10 miles from Wells and the north Norfolk coast."

A couple of food stalls will also be providing refreshments at the event.

Dogs are welcome on leads and free on-site parking is available.

Admission is £3 for adults and is free for under 14s.
