A new candidate has entered the fight to beat Liz Truss at the next general election with diametrically different political views.
Lorraine Douglas, a former housing and homelessness manager from King's Lynn, has been announced as the Communist Party of Britain's candidate for South West Norfolk.
She has promised to fight "for the people" and against the "greedy capitalist class".

Ms Douglas joins Independent James Bagge, Labour candidate Terry Jermy, Josie Ratcliffe for the Liberal Democrats, Green Party's Pallavi Devulapalli and Toby McKenzie for Reform UK in standing against the former prime minister.
The 64-year-old said: “The Communist Party is fighting for the people, not the super-rich.
"Years of neglect by a greedy capitalist class have impoverished Britain.
"Their only loyalty is to profit. Their interests are served by the rotten Tory government at our expense and that of our vital public services.
“The Communist Party is standing in this election for a working-class alternative to guarantee peace, public ownership and workers' rights.”
Ms Douglas has recently moved back to Norfolk after several years working in London, where she was involved in the trade union movement.
