Political party Reform UK has replaced its chosen candidate to fight for a Norfolk seat, but won't say why it has made this decision.

It has mysteriously replaced its prospective parliamentary candidate in South Norfolk after revealing its first choices in March.

The seat will now be contended by Chris Harrison, who has quietly taken the place of property developer Richard Lines.

Mr Harrison will stand alongside nine further Reform UK candidates in Norfolk and Waveney.

They are Eric Masters (Broadland and Fakenham), Rupert Lowe (Great Yarmouth), Kabeer Kher (Mid Norfolk), Jason Patchett (North Norfolk), Phil Walton (North West Norfolk), Nick Taylor (Norwich North), Graham Burton (Norwich South), Toby McKenzie (South West Norfolk) and Scott Huggins (Waveney Valley).

Reform UK declined to comment on the reason's behind Mr Lines' replacement.

Richard Tice, leader of the party, said the party published its list of candidates early so that they could be vetted by the public, a process he described as being "like an MOT".

This has resulted in more than 100 candidates being swapped or sacked since January.

Reform UK, previously known as the Brexit Party, was co-founded by former UKIP leader Nigel Farage and Catherine Blaiklock, who lives in Lingwood.
