A new sweet shop offering "old fashioned favourites" with a fudge counter, pic'n'mix and handmade chocolates is opening in a coastal village.

Norfolk Jar Kitchen is a confectionary brand based in Heacham which supplies 75 stores across the UK including Jarrolds, Bakers and Larners and Suffolk Food Hall.

"It's a massive issue, some families can't afford to pay for more expensive confectionary items, our kids were missing out so we decided to make some for ourselves," she said.

"We’ve boomed in the last two years, we started with bake-at-home cookie mixes and a couple of shops found us and wanted to stock us.

"I'm really shocked by how much support we’ve had, the reaction to our announcement has been absolutely incredible.
