More than 10,000 people at Sandringham Pageant of Motoring

The Sandringham Pageant of Motoring returned to the Royal Parkland on Sunday and it has been hailed as a huge success.

Despite the wet weather in the morning, petrolheads still arrived in their thousands.

There were around 1,000 classic cars on display from various clubs, showcasing brands including Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, BMW, Lotus and Ferrari, alongside royal vehicles rarely seen in public. 

There was also live music and VIP ticket-holders gained access to The Aston Martin Spring Concours in the Royal Gardens.

It featured around 70 of the best cars from across the world, including the King's 1969 MK ii DB6 Volante - a 21st birthday gift from his parents.

Tom Siddall, event director said: "It was a huge success with superb feedback from all that attended.

"The event continues to grow each year, with consideration going into making it a two-day event in 2025."

The scheduled Spitfire flypast, part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, did not go ahead after a Spitfire pilot died in a crash near RAF Coningsby on Saturday.
