A beloved pharmacist from Norwich who was due to start a new job at the region’s mental health trust has died aged 28.
Yin Tung Chan, who went by the name Nicole, had been due to start a position with the Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust before her death.
The body of the 28-year-old was discovered by her partner of seven years at their home on Earlham Road on May 16.
The details of her death were revealed at a brief hearing at an inquest opening on May 23 at Norfolk Coroner’s Court, based at County Hall.
The area coroner, Yvonne Blake, confirmed that a post mortem revealed the medical cause of death was “hanging”.
In a statement to a coroner’s officer, her father confirmed that his daughter had been born in Hong Kong, China, on November 11, 1995.
Ms Chan used to work as a clinical pharmacist for the Ketts Oak Primary Care Network and was a graduate of the University of East Anglia.
It is believed she had recently returned to China to visit her family, or had been planning a trip to go there.
A full inquest to establish the official cause of death will take place on September 6 at the court.
