The railway lines running between Norwich and Cambridge have now reopened after they were blocked this afternoon.
This was due to lightning damage to the signalling system at Harling Road, between Attleborough and Thetford.

Giving an update at just after 6pm, Greater Anglia posted: "Network Rail response teams have made repairs to the signalling system after it was damaged by lightning strikes in the Harling Road area, allowing the line between Norwich and Cambridge via Thetford and Ely to re-open."
Trains are now running again on the route and they are working to get services back on schedule.

It comes amid a Met Office yellow weather warning for thunderstorms issued for the whole of Norfolk, which came into force at 12noon and ends at 8pm on Sunday.

Train tickets dated for today (May 26) will still be accepted for travel tomorrow (May 27).
