A man has been charged after a woman was assaulted on a popular city walking and biking path.
The assault happened on the Marriott’s Way near Barker Street shortly before 1.30pm yesterday.
The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries and has since been discharged.

Derry Bates, 44, of no fixed address, was arrested on Marriot’s Way a short while later and taken to Aylsham Police Station for questioning.
Bates has since been charged with GBH with intent and GBH with intent to commit a sexual offence.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court tomorrow.
