A Norfolk farm has added another string to its bow with a mini adventure golf course opening in time for the May half-term holiday. 

Couple Victoria and Henry Cushing run The Pumpkin House at Brookhill Farm in Thursford, located off the A148 between Holt and Fakenham. 

Diversification is central to their business and the mini golf builds on the success of their namesake Halloween event and summer maize maze.

The new nine-hole course has a farming theme and is surrounded by fields, tractors and hay bales.

The project has been part-funded by the government through the Rural England Prosperity Fund.

Mrs Cushing said: "We wanted to diversify and expand our offering and now our children Edward and Matilda are a bit older they will be able to enjoy mini golf - by the end of the summer they will be pros!" 

The golf course will be open from May 25 to June 2 from 10am to 4pm over the half-term holiday.

It will then be open at weekends only at the same times until July 20, which is when the maize maize launches.

After that, both attractions will run from Wednesday to Sunday throughout the school holidays.

The other activities at the farm are a tin can alley, welly wanging and, new for 2024, a mud kitchen, mini builder's yard and sandpit.

They also have a new van serving barista-style coffees, hot chocolate, soft drinks, homemade cakes and local Dann's Ice Cream. 

Mrs Cushing added: "The golf course is not only a test of skill but loads of fun and a great opportunity to get children outdoors and away from screens."

Turn up and play with tickets £7 for adults and £4 for children aged 16 and under (family ticket £20), with free parking and dogs welcome on leads.
