An 18-year-old woman found dead in her flat had suffered a blood clot in her lung, an inquest has heard.
Karolina Lipodatenko died on March 31, 2023, at her home on Portland Street, King's Lynn.
An inquest into her death opened at Norfolk Coroners Court on Friday, with Yvonne Blake, the area coroner, confirming the medical cause of death as pulmonary thromboembolism, when a clot blocks a blood vessel in the lungs.
The hearing was told that her body was identified by a friend.
Friends have paid tribute to Miss Lipodatenko, who was born in Lynn, on the Thornalley Funeral Services website.
One person said: "She was one of the most caring people I met during school, she made me feel like I had a true friend.
"She was kind hearted and would always stick up for me even if I was in the wrong. She will be missed."
Another wrote: "Karolina was my very first friend that I made in year seven and she stuck with me till the very end.
"She always knew how to put a smile on my face and was one of the kindest and most caring girls you could ever meet. She made me feel so loved and cared for always. I will forever miss her."
Another said: "She will always be missed she was a nice caring girl and was always putting a smile on our faces and the only lesson I had with her was geography and it was really nice being around her, she will never be forgotten."
A former teacher wrote that she "lit up our classroom with her smile".
