A city footbridge and cycle path will be closed for repairs next month.

Pedestrians and cyclists are set to face disruption as Hall Road Footbridge and Lakenham Way will close from June 3 to June 7.

The bridge needs to be closed so the old plywood deck can be replaced and Lakenham Way will be shut for safety reasons during the day while works take place overhead.

Cyclists and pedestrians will be diverted on to the road bridge via the current crossing points and there will be signed ramps to get on and off Lakenham Way.

The work will cost £38,000 and be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and its contractors Tarmac.
